THE PEAK OF PROTECTION

From our Lightweight Aluminium Architecture and comprehensive system of airbags, to our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a Jaguar is designed to help protect you on every journey. While the very latest innovations in vehicle security provide you with added peace of mind.

Innovations in occupant protection include: “soft landing” technology, which detects the size and weight of the front seat passengers and adjusts airbag contact accordingly; anti-whiplash systems, which move the head restraints forward to support the neck in the event of a collision; and our InControl Protect system, which can automatically send out an SOS Emergency Call to bring relevant services to your exact location in the event of a critical situation.

When it comes to active safety, which minimises the risk of accidents occurring in the first place, our cars are equipped with some of the most cutting-edge features. Features like Blind Spot Monitor: a system that uses radar sensors to alert the driver to any vehicle hidden in the blind spot.

To ensure maximum security for your Jaguar, every vehicle is constantly protected by an alarm and engine immobiliser. And on some models, our InControl Secure system can detect any illegal movement of your vehicle and liaise with the authorities to pinpoint its exact location.

ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

We’ve developed a range of intuitive technologies to improve your driving experience, making it safer, smoother and more enjoyable.

AUTONOMOUS EMERGENCY BRAKING

If a potential collision is detected between 3 and 50mph (5 and 80km/h) you are alerted, giving you time to take action. If the driver takes no action, the system applies the brakes to help reduce the severity of the possible impact. This system also includes pedestrian sensing.

LANE KEEPING ASSIST AND DRIVER CONDITION MONITOR

Working in concert with the Lane Departure Warning system, Lane Keep Assist senses unintentional lane drift and helps steer your Jaguar back into its lane. The Driver Condition Monitor detects lapses in concentration due to tiredness and suggests taking a break.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH STEERING ASSIST

Adaptive Cruise Control and Steering Assist makes long distance driving and heavy traffic situations easier by automatically centring your vehicle in its lane, while maintaining a set distance from vehicles ahead.

ADVANCED PARK ASSIST

Advanced Park Assist makes parking in tight spaces easier than ever. Your Jaguar can accurately steer itself during both parallel and bay parking manoeuvres - you only have to control the brakes and accelerator.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

Lane Departure Warning helps to keep everyone onboard safe by sensing when your car is unintentionally drifting out of lane by notifying you with a visual alert and a gentle vibration of the steering wheel.

BLIND SPOT MONITOR AND REVERSE TRAFFIC DETECTION

If your car detects another vehicle in or approaching your blind spot, Blind Spot Monitor quickly notifies you. Similarly, Reverse Traffic Detection detects moving vehicles behind you when reversing.

SURROUND CAMERA SYSTEM

Helping with various manoeuvres, from parking by a kerb to getting in and out of tight spaces and junctions, Surround Camera System gives you 360° exterior vision on the Touchscreen.

BLIND SPOT ASSIST

As an enhancement to Blind Spot Monitor, Blind Spot Assist applies steering torque to guide you away from the vehicle in your blind spot if you begin to change lanes.
